Organized by SHE-CAN, the program combines university scholarship support, leadership development, mentorship, test preparation, and career guidance to empower future women leaders committed to creating positive change in their home countries.

Unlike traditional scholarship programs, SHE-CAN works closely with selected scholars throughout the entire application journey—preparing them for standardized tests, matching them with mentors, and helping them secure full scholarships from partner U.S. institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be female.
  • Be 17–20 years old.
  • Be a citizen of Cambodia, Guatemala, or Liberia.
  • Be graduating from high school or have recently graduated.
  • Have less than one year of university or post-secondary study.
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance.
  • Show leadership in school or community activities.
  • Have strong English communication skills.
  • Come from a low-income household.
  • Be committed to returning home after graduation to contribute to their country.
  • Be able to participate in the required pre-college preparation program.
